Hidden schematics of EMI filters

Abstract


The paper presents the lumped parameters of EMI filters that must be used in the design process. In order to obtain consistent results, apart from the conventional parameters and
stress de-rating factors (power dissipation, limiting voltage and current, operating temperature range, etc.), one should think also in terms of nonideal behaviour of the circuit elements in the
equivalent model. Following this conduct the calculated filter characteristics (attenuation or insertion loss) will gain in accuracy.
